The fund's goal is to raise $20,000 and 100% of the donations raised will go those families affected. Contributions may be made to this fund at any Northampton Cooperative Bank. To learn more about how the money raised will be distributed to those affected by the fires, please go to http://www.facebook.com/l/ee096;www.hampshirecountycares.com. The site should be up and running by mid-afternoon on December 31.

An online contribution option will be available at http://www.facebook.com/l/ee096;www.hampshirecountycares.com within a few more days. (We'll let you know when that happens.)

There is also a fund created to supplement the arson reward. The Northampton Arson Reward Fund is being administered by the Northampton Rotary Club Foundation. To contribute, mail checks made out to The Northampton Arson Reward Fund to The Northampton Rotary Club Foundation, PO Box 505, Northampton, MA 01061.

It will take some time to assess what physical items the victims need. For now, the most useful contribution is money. Those who have clothing that they would like to donate to general fire relief may contribute them to the Red Cross People's Center at 2 Chestnut Street or 504 Cottage Street in Springfield.

Because of the recent spate of fires throughout the region, the Pioneer Valley Red Cross fund is depleted. Please consider donating to this wonderful organization at http://www.facebook.com/l/ee096;www.redcrosspioneervalley.org.Nerissa Nieldshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07681807422024958132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8418939.post-76401816262385513462009-12-30T12:40:05.892-05:002009-12-30T12:40:05.892-05:00Thank you for a beautiful reflection.
